With the battle behind them and the stakes rising, the party is transported to Alderheart, the heart of the Wood—and now the eye of the storm. But peace is fleeting. In the bustling city they cross paths with Fran, a sharp-tongued rival from the very beginning of their journey, reminding them that old grudges don’t fade easily.

At the Olive Branch Inn, they find a moment of quiet. Over steaming cups of tea and coffee, Thistlefoot shares stories and scars with Barlow, the kindly goat-folk innkeeper whose past holds more weight than he lets on.

Q loses someone dear, a quiet and shattering moment that echoes louder than any battle. In the shadows of Alderheart, alliances will be tested, grief will take root—and the party will have to find their footing before the fires rise again.
