our feelings are here to tell us what we need, not who we are!
Hi hi hi hi, thanks for listening. In this episode I discuss about the acceptance of fleeting feelings. What do I mean by that? Did you know that our emotions only sustain around 90 seconds in the physical body? That seems fake, right? Because we all know what it feels like to be riddled with anxiety for months and consumed with depression for years. In this earthly experience, we are not just our physical make-up, we have the mind...and the mind (aka the Ego) attaches to the beauty of feelings. What a remarkable thing, yet can be quite exhausting. If we allow the Awareness of who we all actually are, a magnificent bundle of energy, to only notice what our physical body brings up (anger, sadness, thrill, shame, jealousy, and on), we wouldn't need to be drowned in feelings that seem so heavy to swim in. If you are someone who would rather a one sentence of what I am trying to explain (sorry, I am a gemini moon), then here. Our feelings are not here to tell us who we are, they are here to tell us what we need. They don't last forever and what a blessing! Hear me out. :)
