Taking up space can be a bold statement or a quiet rebellion in a world that often asks us to fit in, conform and shrink. Today we’re going to chat about what it means to take up space and how it helps us grow, create, express, take control and become the best most authentic versions of ourselves.

It’s SO exciting to be back and with a little bit of a revamp! Rambling with Rosie has now become Take Up Space and it only seems right to relaunch with what exactly that means and why it matters to you.

In case you don’t know, im a creative portrait photographer, which often involves capturing women and their stories creatively. Telling their stories and helping them visually present themselves using how they feel inside. My first piece of advice before we start shooting is always “Remember to take up space” and its incredible watching someone come out of their shell, push themselves and express who they are - especially in a situation as vulnerable as a photoshoot! So im inspired to share what it means exactly and why im passionate enough about inspiring you to do so that im dedicating a podcast to it!

What it means to take up space? Some ideas might even come to for you. For me a few would be: To be unapologetically you. To speak your mind and share your ideas and to have confidence in them and yourself. To present yourself in a way that makes you feel proud. To be open to new ideas and mindsets. To expand and experiment. And to create and express just because. it means to know that you belong and you deserve to take up your space in the world and some.
