Her journey led her to National Law University, where she immersed herself in research on animalprotection, farm animals, factory farming, and animal agriculture in India—uncovering the pressing need for accountability from producers and policy reform.

Today, Anita is a leading voice in green criminologyand animal law, mentoring students at NALSAR and pushing for systemic change that benefits animals, the environment, and communities alike. Her work goes beyond rescue—it is about dismantling cruelty at its roots and ensuring thatlaws evolve to protect the voiceless.
