Imam al-Nawawi Rahimahullah pula menyebutkan; ilmu yang terpenting yang harus dipelajari oleh setiap penuntut ilmu adalah menghafal al-Qur’an. Bahkan para ulama terdahulu, mereka tidak akan mempelajari hadith dan fikih kecuali setelah mereka selesai menghafal al-Qur’an.
