Chill and a little sleepy, but happy, on DAY 2 of 4 DAY of my extended WATER FAST. I did a salt water 💦 flush today and talk about that whole production. 😏
HOORAY! It’s Day 30, the final day of my 30-day Carnivore Diet Experiment... or is it? I lost 11 pounds in 30 days and I discuss how the diet has changed me, the positives and negatives, my tips for those who want to try the diet and what’s next for me.
Day 29 of my 30-day Carnivore Diet Experiment. Still feel good since I’ve eliminated dairy but the scale is not moving. I talk about what may be next after this experiment is over.
Day 22 of my Carnivore or Zero Carb Diet 30 day Experiment. I’ve lost 12 pounds in 22 days and in this episode I discuss the strange, unsettling discovery that the carnivore diet is a political anti-vegan weapon for some. #triggered lol
Day 20 - Carnivore Diet 30 day Experiment. I’ve lost 11 pounds in 20 days. Tonight I’m a little feeling better and discuss why (I think) I felt so bad this week.
Day 15 of my Carnivore or Zero Carb Diet 30 day Experiment. I’ve lost 10 pounds in 15 days. Today I also discuss Days 13 and 14, the dangers of salad, why I almost quit this zero carb carnivore keto experiment, and my missing sweet tooth.
Day 10 & 11 - Carnivore Diet 30 day Experiment. I’ve lost 7 pounds in 11 days! Tonight I talk about feeling tired, headaches, attempting to quit caffeine and the loo (briefly, thankfully).
Day 9 - Carnivore Diet 30 day Experiment. And also Day 6, 7, and 8. I’ve lost 5 pounds in 8 days. Tonight I’m talking about drinking alcohol on a low carb, zero carb, keto or carnivore diets, eating out at restaurants and the key to skipping popcorn at the movies.
Day 5 - Carnivore Diet 30 day. Experiment. I’ve lost 5 pounds in 5 days! Tonight I’m expressing my (most likely) irrational fear that this zero carb meat diet is harmful and I also talk about why I think I’m not in ketosis... and cooking frozen steak 🥩
Day 3 was a challenge and was odd but I’m still excited about this carnivore experience. I can feel my body adjusting and it’s a little unpleasant and I just know you can’t wait to hear all about that. 😒
I’ve decided to experiment on my body because I’ve gained back all of the weight from doing keto earlier in the year and I am going to try eating nothing but meat for the next 30 days and try the Carnivore/Primal/Zero Carb thing - and invite you to follow me as I share the raw truth of what this experience is like on a day to day basis.
SWEET ON KETO’S MAGNIFICENT BISCUITS
DRY INGREDIENTS:
1 and 1/2 Cups of Blanched Almond Flour
1 3/4 teaspoon Baking Powder
1/8 teaspoon Xanthan Gum
1/4 teaspoon Salt
Fresh Black Pepper - about 1/8 teaspoon
Pinch of Rosemary (optional but good for sweet and savory uses)
WET INGREDIENTS:
3 TB of cold or frozen Butter
1/2 cup of grated Cheddar Cheese
1 egg
1/4 cup of Heavy Cream
Pre heat oven to 350
In a medium bowl, mix together the dry ingredients.
Grate the frozen butter into the dry ingredients. Evenly mix the butter shreds into the flour mixture.
Mix in the shredded cheddar cheese.
Make a well in the center of the mixture.
Add egg into the well.
Add heavy cream to the well.
Use a spoon or rubber spatula to first to mix in the eggs and cream and then keep folding to incorporate the rest of the mixture - until just blended.
Form eight loose balls of dough. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Put the eight balls of doing the parchment paper and press down slightly on each ball to flatten a l
