Linda’s cooking skills were so bad, that her own family banned her from cooking when she was a teen. Happily, her skills have dramatically improved. She now has over 1000 cookbooks, is a graduate of Rouxbe Cooking School and the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and has countless cooking courses from the International Culinary Center and Natural Gourmet Institute under her belt. I’m Jav (SVG digital cut files) Business Coach and SVG designer for Official Cricut. I grew up in the slums of Saudi Arabia in a lower-middle-class family. We always lived in scarcity. Every time my siblings and I wanted a gadget or a beautiful dress, we had to find a way to buy it ourselves. I was obsessed with Ivy League colleges and it was my dream to go to Harvard. I couldn’t afford to pay for my bachelor but I promised myself I would definitely do my Master's there. So, I launched my digital business in 2013 when I was in the first year of college doing Honors in Biotechnology in Malaysia. I wanted to make money in a way that would not interfere with my studies. In the morning, I was busy with labs and classes almost every day and after getting back to the dorm room I felt so tired, that all I could do was sit at my desk. So, I started selling digital sewing patterns. I worked on my business 3-4 months a year during my semester breaks however, made money throughout the year. This is the freedom I wanted.
🙌🙌 Thanks to my business I was able to travel to beautiful destinations like Thailand, Maldives and Malaysia while studying. I was also able to fund my sibling's education with the money I earned from my digital business. With the savings from my income, we moved to Australia with just two pieces of luggage to start a new life. And now thanks to my digital business, I have helped pay off my husband’s $120k Master’s fee while living my dream life. ❤️ I’m here to inspire and help crafters in living their dream lives making money doing something they love.
