
Our world is currently facing a food crisis –about 309 million people face chronic hunger, with 1.1 million on the brink of famine, especially in underdeveloped areas entangled in conflict or war such as Gaza, South Sudan, and Mali. What is the root of the global food crisis, you ask? Co-hosts Bernice and Scarlett are joined by Rebecca Vetharaniam Richards, the lead of the World Food Programme’s ‘Global Network Against Food Crises’, to discuss the intersection between conflict and hunger.
