S2E5 Interview with Ms Reesha Toms

We’re here to make your sustainability journey a bit more exciting and doable! Because sustainability isn’t all metal straws and measuring your carbon footprint. It’s a fun and ever evolving way of life - that you can be a part of!

Well, today’s guest is just like us. She’s here to advocate Environmental change, and we’re here for it.  During her studies, she worked on a zero-emissions project in jail in Varodhara. She has a Masters’s Degree from University College Dublin, and she’s currently working as a writer at the International Council for Circular Economy.

If you're not impressed already, which we definitely are, she has been selected for an internship at the Action for climate empowerment at the UNFCCC!

Questions:

  1. you worked on a zero-emissions project in jail in Vadodara. We'd love to hear more about this!
  2. Since many of our listeners are students, what advice do you have for students in India to establish waste management systems in Indian institutes?
  3. I have a question for you that might help people aiming to boost their career with a UNFCCC internship just like you. So, What would you say are the ideal qualities in a potential UNFCCC internship candidate? What was your experience like while applying?
  4. Any plans or goals for the future? How can we and our audience participate in making those happen?
  5. They say internships are a great way to learn if you are new in the industry. All of us have done them, some of us are currently involved with amazing internships already.  What is the most valuable thing you learned in your various internships?
  6. Games: #two truths and one lie.  #Never have I ever
  7. Do you have any role models? Especially someone who has been a motivation for you to be in the sustainable field?
  8. If you could go back 10 years from now, What advice would you give your younger self?
