Ray Armas Windsurfed 90 Miles Over 10 Hours to Flee Cuba for Florida
Ray Armas first escaped Cuba by windsurfing over 90 miles, over 10 miles, from Cuba to the Florida Keys. After being brought back to Cuba, he spent many years applying for refugee status in America, and once he became an American, Ray immediately joined the US military to say thank you to the country that gave him freedom.
