Advancing Environmental Justice Panel Discussion

This is the first in Surfrider Foundation Hawaiʻi Chapters' Advancing Environmental Justice Panel Series. In light of the racial justice uprisings and a need for environmental organizations to step up to the plate to highlight intersectionality, these virtual events will feature speakers working to connect the dots between environmental, social, race, and indigenous issues.  Our speakers include:

-Kristen Brown, Hawaiʻi Youth Climate Coalition and Co-Organizer of Honolulu's BLM March

-Noelani Goodyear-Kaʻōpua, UH Professor of Political Science and Kanaka Maoli activist and scholar

-Alphonso Braggs, President for NAACP Hawaiʻi

-Lauren Watanabe, Sierra Club Oahu Coordinator and Climate Justice Activist
