Winding our way through Katie’s career we talk about her time in journalism, her stint at Saatchi & Saatchi in London, working for and then taking the reins of her family’s catering company with her business partner, expanding their service offering into the aged care space, and how she deals with a constant internal calling to feed all the children of Aotearoa.

She also talks candidly about the past decade-plus as they lived with and navigated the Christchurch Earthquake and its aftermath, confronting the loss of her beloved father, having babies, the Christchurch Mosque shooting and most recently covid.

Katie's is a story of resilience (though she’s rightly sick of hearing that), a deep commitment to people, an unwavering passion for what is right, and so much more.
