JUSTICE #1 | Understanding racial discrimination in the context of trauma.

David grew up in one of the most dangerous cities in America (St. Louis - No.5 according to 2019 FBI report) that boasts a checkered history of discrimination and violence.  In 2014, tensions boiled over as unarmed African American 18 year old, Michael Brown was killed by a police officer after the officer discharged his weapon 12 times. This turbulent and violent city provides the backdrop for where David and Jeremiah first met.  Jeremiah later was racially profiled and locked up in the most dangerous city in America (East St. Louis - No.1 2019 FBI report) when a judge said to him "If we can get Osama Bin Laden, we can get you".  Join the conversation as they both share stories of racial discrimination and prejudice.  This podcast gives rise to an understanding that crime, protests and riots makes sense when you understand trauma. At The Kitchen Table with David Alexander & Jeremiah Jacob.
