Take a seat, get comfortable, and join the community. Stretch or Starve podcast is a love letter to the 'Third Place'. These are the places between our homes and our workplaces. The places we gather. The places we build community, form friendships, and a whole host of other stuff.
My name's Josh, and I work in the hospitality industry in the UK. A thriving community of creatives, thinkers, and coffee drinkers. This podcast is about telling the stories of the people who run these spaces, and who believe in the power they hold.
This first episode gives a bit of an intro to the name of the podcast, “Stretch or Starve”. It’s a phrase that means “pull up a chair, reach across the table, don’t worry about ‘etiquette’ or ‘rules’. It’s a phrase that for me, screams ‘hospitality’.
Check out Episode 2, where I’ll dive into the theme - Third Places. After that, we'll get on with the interviews. I've met some fantastic people so far, and I'm very excited to share our conversations over the coming season.
