In this episode, Jon and Amber recognize June as Black Music History Month by discussing origins of some music that we originally looked at as "white" music. We explore the beginnings of house and country music, and we also wonder if in 50 or 100 years hip hop will be colonized to the point that future generations will see it as white music in the same way that some of us have looked at House, country and even Jazz. We also discuss how we can preserve the Blackness in hip hop music. Follow us at @Street Academy Podcast
