Farid Mirbaghieri is an academic and a former Professor of International Relations. He held the Dialogue Chair in Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Nicosia until his retirement in 2023. He is the co-founder of the Cyprus Diplomatic Academy and also acted as Research Director of the Center for World Dialogue, a NGO committed to promoting intercultural dialogue, based in Nicosia. He is Strategy International's Senior Consultant for West Asia and his latest books are War And Peace In Islam and The Historical Dictionary Of Cyprus.
