Straight From The Off welcomes Alan Navarro to the Podcast. Alan played for Liverpool Schoolboys were he was spotted by Liverpool FC and invited to go on trial. After what seemed likes months of training Alan was signed and eventually gained a YTS with the club before eventually turning pro. Alan tells us what it was like to train day in day out with the likes of Jamie Redknapp, Patrick Berger and Steven Gerrard. He tells us how he had to move on from LFC to sustain his career as a professional footballer and what it was like in the lower leagues. Alan played for clubs like Tranmere, Crewe, Accrington, Macclesfield, MK Dons, Brighton and Swindon amongst others. He now plays in the Liverpool Vets league with legendary side Britannia. Alan talks about his favourite goals, games and all about the lads he shared a pitch with and played against throughout those times.
