Mugabi Byenkya is an award-winning writer poet and rapper, based in Kampala Uganda. He was longlisted for the Babishai Niwe Poetry award in 2015 and has had his poetry and comics published in well known publications like Carte Blanche, Skin Deep and Best Canadian Poetry among others. He is an extraordinary young man that has wrestled with two strokes, loss of a father at a young age but has continued to pursue his passion ;to be an author.
