Episode 47: Yvonne Sotomayor

Ms. Yvonne Sotomayor, is an internationally-touring bilingual poet, is also an educator, administrator, producer and artist, born of Peruvian dreamers in Jersey City.

She blends her spoken word with music accompaniment by her husband Kenn Rowell and has performed at the Iowa State and Kentucky State Fairs, the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library and the NYC Marathon. Her recordings have aired on radio in North America and overseas – most notably on Australia's National Public Radio.

Her first bilingual spoken word EP, "Radical Chica", was released in 2021 and her first book of poetry is scheduled for release for Summer, 2025. Accompanying her on guitar is her husband Kenn Rowell of the Baghdaddios.
