Story Station is a podcast where you can listen to ancient stories of wit & wisdom, from around the world! During the COVID-19 pandemic, with millions of kids stuck at home, we (my 8th-grade daughter & I) wanted to do something to keep them engaged and to create an avenue to gain knowledge of cultures around the world. Love your feedback. Stories are copyright-free, if any are not let us know. Exciting future plans- Have kids submit their read-aloud stories, in any language! Invest in better tools for professional quality. Thank you for listening. Enjoy! Annika & Dr. Krishna

S2 Episode 24: Mexican, Russian, and Japanese Stories- “El Piojo y La Liendre", “The Wood Sprite”, “The Angel’s Robe”

Welcome to Story Station Season 2, Episode 24.

In this episode, you can listen to 3 Stories.

The first story is a Mexican story titled “El Piojo y La Liendre, or The Lice and the Nit”.

Listen to this cheerful poem about all the animals in the town coming together to make the wedding of the lice and the nit successful!

The second story is a Russian story titled “The Wood Sprite”.

There is a reason your parents don't want you going into the forest alone, where all sorts of mythical creatures live, and this story is proof.

The third story is a Japanese story titled “The Angel’s Robe”.

Angels are heavenly beings that can only be away from the heavens for a certain amount of time before something terrible happens, so what will this angel do when she is trapped on Earth?

Hope you enjoy it!
