Episode 01: Investing in Innovation | Prof. Tim Gocher OBE

In this episode of Stories of Innovation, Professor Tim Gocher shares his story behind starting Dolma Impact Fund and his thoughts around some of the promising innovations where he has invested. This episode highlights the role of impact investments in creating sustainable values for people and planet at the same time deriving return on investment from his ventures in the frontier economies like Nepal.   

Professor Gocher is a private equity executive with a profound background experiences in the domain of impact investment, renewable energy and technology. Before starting Dolma Impact Fund, Tim Professor Gocher worked led important portfolios at Deloitte Corporate Finance in London, J.P. Morgan in New York, and energy giant E. On. As an entrepreneur, he has started, scaled, and sold two successful technology businesses. He is Honorary Professor of Sustainable Business at The University of Nottingham and Guest Lecturer at London Business School where he gained his MBA. He was awarded the OBE in the 2022 Queen’s Jubilee Honours List for services to British investment and economic development in Nepal.
