Whether you like it or not, math is everywhere! It plays a crucial role in understanding the world around us. Beyond finding your x and y, we now see its relevance in different fields such as art, baking, music, sports, and more.

We invited Fattie Guerrero, the SHS Remedial Coordinator and Mathematics Supervisor at De La Salle Santiago Zobel School, to share with learners and educators why and how math is awesome! Rather than seeing the subject as another obstacle, she encourages her students to use math to challenge themselves to think critically when solving problems. With over 20 years of experience in teaching and education, she also recalls and celebrates her triumphs and challenges in helping students grow their appreciation for math!
