Today on this podcast, we're joined by Tatiana Rodriguez, a first-generation and non-traditional student who has overcome adversity to achieve her dream of becoming a medical student. Tatiana is originally from Puerto Rico and, like many others, faced challenges after Hurricane Maria. Despite her first language not being English, she adapted to her rough surroundings and persevered. Tatiana's journey as a first-generation and non-traditional student adds a unique perspective to her story and makes her achievement even more impressive. During our conversation, Tatiana shares her personal journey of taking the MCAT twice and getting scores below 500, but still managing to get acceptances to not one, but three medical schools. Tatiana's story is an inspiration to anyone facing a difficult road and serves as a reminder that with hard work and determination, anything is possible.
