This is A Closer Look With... Every episode, we get to know an artist whose work is presented at the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam. Today we're taking a closer look at the work of LJ Roberts.
LJ Roberts' work brings into focus queer and trans people and their stories, which are often overlooked and sometimes intentionally erased. Currently, three of Roberts' embroideries are featured in the exhibition Unravel. How did embroidery come into their life? Why are the front and back of their works presented as equals? And what's up with climbing buildings? You'll hear it in A Closer Look With.
