"Get Off Your Ass"

Today's about a little tough love.

I guess I don't understand how so many people…

And please, I understand that people lost jobs and you know their craft or whatever it is. They're not able to work.

And I respect that. I understand the challenge that we're facing right now.

And...

You should be using this time as an opportunity.

Because you're going to look back.

And this is about me personally, I would look back because I know there's going to be some great stories that come out of this time where people are going to say,

‘Hey, it was COVID and we had this problem. So we created this solution and it grew into a billion dollar brand.'

Or ‘Hey, you know, this thing happened. I was out of a job, had to figure out something, back against the wall and made this happen. Dream come true.’

So, how are you going to remember this time?

I don't care what it is. That's me, personally.

I'm an entrepreneur through and through. It's the way I'm wired. And so I think about businesses I can start.

But I mean even just learn how to cook.

'I learned how to cook XYZ Cuisine' or 'I'll learn to speak a second language.’

Whatever. I don't care.

'I learned to play the drums.’

That's something that's been on my list for a while. Haven't done it yet, but I'm also keeping myself busy.

To that end…

If there’s something inside you to help make a difference in this world.

That's something that's a big thing for me.

As Steve Jobs used to say, make a dent in the universe. Leave a dent.

And so, I'm aspiring to do that.

So, yeah, if you're at all interested in leaving a dent in the universe with us and you've got some gifts to share,

Now as you may know, publicly, I can't share much about what our Stealth Mode project is.

But if you reach out and say 'hey, look I'm gifted in graphic design,’

Whatever - random suggestion - not saying we necessarily need help with that. But anyway,.

So ‘Hey Greg, I want to make a difference. Here are my gifts.’

And if there's a need that we have that fits those gifts, we'll fill you in on what we're doing and put you to work somehow.

We'll find a way that you can help us if it's the right fit.

And if it's not, no worries. We'll keep it in our back pocket.

So again, Get Off Your Ass.

It doesn't have to be anything I even said here today.

Just make this a time to remember.

Make sure you're not looking back on this epic time in our lives…

By the way, they're going to be talking about this for hundreds of years, unless it becomes a regular thing and we have pandemics on the regular

We're going to remember this time for the rest of our lives.
