SPOKE with guest Lyle Preslar

In this week's episode, Scott Crawford spoke with Minor Threat/Meatmen/Samhain guitarist Lyle Preslar in a rare and special two part interview. Preslar discusses the early days of Minor Threat and the dynamics within the band, how to play the perfect barre chord, the aesthetics of the DC punk scene, cooking dinner at home during the pandemic and the influence of classic rock on his playing. In Part 2 (coming next week) Lyle looks back at the breakup of Minor Threat, briefly playing with Samhain and Glenn Danzig, the indie rock feeding frenzy of the '90s and its subsequent implosion, the Meatmen, his stint as an A&R rep at Caroline Records and current position as an entertainment lawyer based out of NYC. Intro/Outro music provided by Michael Hampton and Sohrab Habibion.

And by the way, If you’re looking for an entertainment lawyer, Lyle says look him up on LinkedIn.
