During the 19th century, Teresa journeyed to a boarding school for girls. There, she met Headmistress Fourneau, who was strict. Teresa also encountered Irene, the headmistress's even more brutal protege.
The place is nowhere near what she was promised. While many of the girls are friendly, the cruelty becomes too much. Not to mention dealing with Fourneau's peeping-tom son, Luis. Not all is what it seems. Teresa discovers that some girls have gone missing over the past few months. It becomes obvious that this place is far too dangerous to remain.
