In addition to the obligatory duties to the Divine, one should be dutiful to parents, maintain family ties, be good to the Divine’s creation, and give preference to family and neighbors. He elaborates that additional prayer, fasting, remembrance, and sending blessings on the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) are all of the best ways to reach God.
