Disempowerment!

Yup, we have been so conditioned to look for the answer outside of us that we willingly give our power away in the hopes of being ‘fixed, rescued or saved’

And this doesn’t happen from ill meaning people; this can happen from well intentioned people

I should know, I was one of them!

Being an unconscious person with a lot of personal pain, I had unmet needs and the temptation to have them met from people I worked with who wanted to put me on a pedestal and make me feel important was too good to give up sometimes. And I was not aware this was operating beneath the surface

But I became aware of it once I started to feel like crap and people didn’t get much better and stayed relatively the same 

What I’ve come to now understand is that my soul was suffering and so was the other person’s.

This burnout thing is not going anywhere and I believe we have to look in places we’ve never looked before to deal with something we’ve never dealt with and that’s why I recorded this episode!
