THE 'H' FACTOR ONE OF THE SPOKEN ENGLISH DEFECT IN NIGERIAN LANGUAGES
THE 'H' FACTOR IN YORUBA SPOKEN ENGLISH is of two types, the omission and the insertion 'h' factors. The omission 'h' is the omission of an /h/ sound at the beginning of any word that start with an /h/ sound thereby beginning the pronunciation of such word from the 2nd or the next sound. Also, the insertion 'h' factor is the insertion of an imaginary /h/ sound at the beginning of any word starting with a vowel sound. These are mother tongue interference Yoruba language in English language.
