💡💬 Science-Fiction is the Investment Thesis for OG Crypto Investors, Boost VC. Brayton Williams talks with Brady Dale.
Boost VC has been backing blockchains since before anyone called the industry crypto: it was just bitcoin then. An early stage investor that also ran an incubator, Brayton Williams takes us back to the days when they decided to back 100 bitcoin startups. The idea is: make science fiction a reality.  BACKGROUND: https://www.coindesk.com/boost-vc-just-fulfilled-a-crypto-funding-pledge-4-years-in-the-making See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs) are entities that run on blockchains, make decisions collectively and probably never meet face to face. 💡💬 What actually are scams in the world of cryptocurrency?
Is one person's scam another person's legitimate enterprise. This is a hard question once you get into examples in regular life, but crypto makes it much more complicated. We discuss these questions with two people who have been in the space a long time: Lana Swartz is a scholar of media studies at the University of Virginia who is known for writing about money as a social network. Her studies of money have led her to be interested in scams and what it means to scam. If scam studies become a topic at universities, she will be its progenitor. Patrick Murck is an affiliate at the Berkman Klein Law Center and also the chief legal officer at Transparent Systems. Murck also served at the Bitcoin Foundation early on.
