Toilet Seat Art Museum - The Colony, Texas
The Colony is a city in Denton County, Texas and a suburb of Dallas with a population of just over 30,000. The Colony did not exist before 1973, when home developers Fox and Jacobs purchased 3,000 acres located around State Highway 121 and Farm to Market Road 423. And while the city of the colony continues to grow, one interesting museum popped up in the early 90's that would go on to become a beloved attraction for many years, Barney Smith's Toilet Seat Art Museum.
