In our study of Psalm 16, we discover how confession of dependence on God leads to delight. Moreover, we find that God in Christ offers himself as our portion in life and that our destiny rests securely in his hands. Understanding this truth produces steadfastness in adversity and brings great joy. On the other hand, rejecting God leads only to sorrow.
