Matthew Kaplan is a local resident who dove into photography young which lead him on amazing life travels! He worked celebrities such as Bob Marley, Nick Nolte, and so many more. Matt discusses his personal favorite nature sunrise/sunset shots and how he enjoys being on the front lines, taking amazing protest stills frozen in time. Matthew captures the raw emotions, energy, and human condition perfectly in picture form during small and large protests. We even discuss his personal run in and arrest with the law during a Gary protest, which got hectic fast.
Matthew reports what he sees while it is happening in real time and his passion for his craft is inspiring!

John has nomadicly traveled throughout thee world, called local hot spots in Chicago his home and eventually landed in thee far far southeast side to open up his very own art studio called Buena Vista Projects!
John is an active long distance cyclist, ski racer, surfer, and multidisciplinary artist who sketches, paints, sculpts, and restores works of art.
We converse on the "Eastside Art District", his art studio being a beacon for all artists, his travels to Alaska and Europe to name a few, and how a humble human from Minnesota made his dreams come true.
