S.H Fernando Jr. aka Skiz talks MF DOOM, "the greatest rapper with no chains that you never heard." Skiz is the author of the new book The Chronicles of DOOM: Unravelling Rap's Masked Iconoclast which tells DOOM's extraordinary story in brilliant detail. It covers DOOM's childhood in New York, his early success with KMD, the tragic loss of his brother Sub Roc, his years in the hip hop wilderness, his triumphant return as the masked super villain, his deportation from the USA, and his tragic end in a hospital in northern England.
In this episode we also hear from The Pro-Teens' Hudson Whitlock. The Pro-Teens have just released an album of DOOM instrumental covers. We also hear from Jake Wherry formally of the Herbaliser, who worked with DOOM back in the early 00s, and Romesh Ranganathan who could listen to DOOM all day.

Finding the artist behind a song, recorded from radio onto cassette in 1984 has become an obsession for many. A wild ride of spreadsheets, frequency analysis, rediscovered bands, fraudsters, meltdowns and endless dead ends. But this is just one of many songs that various reddit and discord communities are trying to identify, with varied consequences for those artists that are finally found. These songs are collectively known as Lost Wave.
In this episode you hear the story of the song that has become known as The Most Mysterious Song On The Internet, you'll hear from people who have been drawn into the search for it, and from the man who many believe played it on a cult radio show almost 40 years ago.
