Journey Through Muzak: Andy's Top 10 Favorite Records released in 1965

In this new series, "The Album Years with Andy", I will be sharing my top 10 favorite albums release in each year! We will start with 1965, and continue our way up until we have reached 2021 (then this will just be an annual thing of course)!

Today, we will talk about my top 10 favorite albums that were released in 1965. Here is a timeline of what was going on in music back in 1965 from Rock Music Timeline: https://www.rockmusictimeline.com/1965

“Folk music favorite Bob Dylan goes electric and is booed at the Newport Folk Festival. The hits keep coming from Motown with the Supremes having three more #1 singles, plus #1 hits from The Temptations and The Four Tops. The Beatles play the largest concert to date in front of 55,600 fans at New York City's Shea Stadium. The British Invasion keeps delivering with hits and new artists like Herman's Hermits, The Yardbirds, The Who, Petula Clark, Freddie and the Dreamers, The Fortunes and others scoring major hits in the US.”

This series will live on, via my Rate Your Music Page! You can see more of my favorite albums that were released in 1965 over there: https://rateyourmusic.com/~andymuzak

Also, feel free to check out my Spotify playlist called “10 for 1965.” This is a playlist of my favorite tracks off of each of my favorite albums of this year: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/6So...
