Let's Talk About Meds with Dr. Izekor.

Are you reluctant or afraid to try or continue taking medication? If so, the reluctance is completely understandable. Although, antidepressants are commonly prescribed to treat depression and anxiety related disorders, most people don't know much about them and how they work. Join me and our guest co-host, Dr. Uwa Izekor, a Psychiatry Resident from the University of Buffalo, as we briefly discuss antidepressants and other medications that treat mental illnesses. This episode is to not persuade anyone to take medication or an advertisement for a particular antidepressant, drug, or pill. My hope is that everyone can increase their understanding and make more informed decisions concerning their overall health and well-being.

And while I hope you enjoy listening, please remember this podcast is not  a substitute for a diagnosis or the treatment of a mental health condition. Please consult a physician or your mental health provider regarding any advice for your mental health and overall well-being.
