A multi-disciplinary artist and multi-instrumentalist singer/songliner, ZackieL’s style of ‘Global Soul’ music was born during ten years travelling, studying and performing worldwide.    He is also an events organiser and MC, a musical facilitator for wellness retreats, a music mentor and field recordist trained in Ethnomusicology.    ZackieL spoke with us personally about his experience as co-founder of Ubuntu Village: the Decolonial Healing and Humanity Space which they share at various gatherings throughout the UK.    Ubuntu are an arts collective and community for intercultural, interracial, intergenerational decolonial education and healing works.    In this conversation, we dive into:   - The activist’s role in dismantling the machinery of division - The meaning of “psycho-spiritual warfare” in our age of noise and control - How decolonisation begins within  - New ways of belonging and togetherness through art and sound    Listen.
