Sean Pero is a Druze pro MMA fighter from Israel. The Druze are an ethnic group with their own Monotheistic religion which has principles and traditions similar to Judaism, Islam, and Christianity. Their primary language is Arabic and have communities in Israel, Syria, Lebanon and Jordan. Most of the Israeli Druze are proud Israeli citizens who serve in mostly combat roles in the IDF and often take positions in elite IDF and police units. The Druze are an integral part of Israeli society, have given their lives for the security of Israel and have a very strong relationship with Jewish Israelis. Sean and I primarily discussed MMA during our first episode together but this time, I wanted to talk to Sean about his feelings on the tragic rocket attack which killed 12 children on a soccer field in the northern village of Majdal Shams. At least one of the children injured in the attack is a family member of Sean's so this unfortunate incident is of course very personal to him. We discussed the tragic day, his feelings, how the community is handling it and what may happen going forward with the current war of attrition with Hezbollah. SUBSCRIBE, LIKE, AND SHARE!
