Ben Gibson is across so many different and diverse places in Brisbane music. He plays guitar, produces electronic music, is an amazing engineer, mixing engineer, thinker and person. His band SLOWCUT's debut release "In Death is Relief" is some of the heaviest, carthartic music I've heard come out of Meanjin recently. He thinks about every element of the recording process deeply and loves being challenged musically and within the studio. We chat in depth about his recording philosophy and approach when recording SLOWCUT as well as his growth as a musician and producer working as Gasworks Recording Studio. He is a seriously talented and kindhearted individual.
