Sometimes Curious, Often Confused

People are fascinating — how we think, how we talk, the choices we make, and I’m here for it. I'm Richard Okongwu, and every week I talk about trust, money, and our relationships with one another. You know, the little and significant events that shape our lives. This podcast is part thought experiment, part personal journal — sometimes messy, other times obvious, but always honest. I'm no expert; just a guy trying to understand the world one idea at a time, and I ask questions along the way. I hope to help you see the things you already knew — differently. I wasn't insecure until they named it | Ep. 21

Spiral 21: I wasn't insecure until they named it.

We all know what self-awareness can give us, but today I want to talk about what it can take away. The grief that shows up when you start noticing things you never had to worry about. The moving target of beauty standards. The way someone else’s comment can make a part of you feel strange, even if it never felt that way before.

What do you do with the parts of yourself that only started feeling unfamiliar after someone else noticed them?
