#498 Prodigal Ministries - "Seeing God Work in Men's Lives is Great Fun!" - John Chilton 9/1/25
“I was a hopeless drug fiend now I’m a drugless hope fiend” -Darin Ashley
“prodigal”:
1. Wastefully extravagant – spending money or resources recklessly, without care.
2. Lavishly generous – giving or spending on a grand scale (can be positive or negative depending on context).
When the word prodigal is used, it typically brings to mind the thoughts of a son coming home after wasting all the riches he’s been given. A lost one who’s been wandering and now coming home. But there’s two sides to the prodigal coin. On this weeks show, Kurt and Chad welcome the founder of Prodigal Ministries (https://prodigalky.org) John Chilton, Executive Director Scott Bartelt, and former client and now advocate Darin Ashley as they talk about the transitions from inside prison to outside prison, about what it means to be a prodigal son coming home to a prodigal Father who is lavish with His grace and love.
