Morning all you lovely lot out there! Welcome all, our beautiful Denim Star, Sock Stars, to Fashion Revolution Week and Earth Day! April proved to be an amazing month, with not only Earth Day on April 22, but also the entire week, from the 18th to the 24th with none other than, Fashion Revolution Week! As you may or may not know, Fashion Revolution Week happens every year, and marks the date of, April 24th which is the anniversary of, the Rana Plaza collapse disaster in Bangladesh, back in 2013. We talked about this last year when we mentioned the Garment Worker Diaries, while remembering Rana Plaza - a building in Bangladesh, which housed a number of garment factories, employing around 5,000 people. The people in this building were manufacturing clothing for many of the biggest global fashion brands. More than 1,100 people – mostly young women – died in the collapse and another 2,500 were injured. Making it the fourth largest industrial disaster in history.
