More than 50 days after what was called by Kaïs Saïed a “provisional period”, the future of the political situation in Tunisia remains unknown. From the full power taken by the president in July to the frieze of the Parliament, the “imminent danger” described by the president has blocked the entire political system while he hasn’t chosen yet a new Prime Minister. Now, the young people encouraged by parties like Ennahda have taken it to the streets to demand the re-establishment of the institutions and answers to the economic crisis. To discuss the situation, we welcome an old friend of ours, Yesmine Abdelkefi, Tunisian student in political sciences and economy at McGill and Mohamed Triki, a Tunisian student in business at Tunis Business School and the creator of the podcast Borjouliya, echoing Machi Rojoula in Morocco.
