In this week's new episode of 'So You Think Your Car is Fast', we discuss the inevitability of electric cars, and Dan is a bit of an optimist on the topic. Stack up those internal combustion performance cars while you can, because it's going to make the classic cars of our childhoods look cheap in comparison. G2 Motorsports park is opening up in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, but you better have a thick wallet as the initiation fees alone reach close to $100,000! We're not sure if our friends listen or not. It seems the general approach has for us to not self-promote amongst our friends and let things grow organically. This approach has led to a bit of a vacuum for feedback, and ideas from the audience. Another topic of discussion is elevation and speed, as Abilene is at 1,719′ of elevation. There's a speed threshold in the half-mile where the altitude can actually help you as much or even more than it hurts due to reduced wind resistance. Dan shows a video of a normally aspirated Viper vs. his 911 Turbo in Colorado for reference. Taylor points out that very recently one of our listeners declared that the Viper was a superior form of transportation to all others. Not at altitude it seems. Taylor's car color poll yields some interesting results, and the surprise is that the camo wrap is not winning!
