Hi everyone! This is the last episode of the "School Talk" series. In this episode, I talk about the general ideas and takeaways I learned from making this series. Even though this was for my Grad/Capstone Project, I genuinely enjoyed seeing this side of my teachers and classmates. I hope you guys did too.
Thanks for everything,
Ara xx
Have you ever been in an accelerated education program? Examples are IB, AP, AIG, and Early College. There are other examples out there, and we talk about our experiences. Because of this, we have both had high expectations for us, and it had impacted our character and mental health. We question if this type of education is worth the stress and hard work. Even if you are not in accelerated learning, there are some things we have in common. I hope you guys gain some insight about this topic.

Hello everyone! As I am getting closer to graduation, I realize the value of my principal, Ms. Hutchens, and my guidance counselor, Mr. Kincaid. Students do not see them on a daily basis, like teachers, but they are still equally important. They also have a load of responsibilities and they are there to help you. This interview highlights those responsibilities and while it may not be the same for traditional schools, there should be some similarities. Enjoy!

Hi everyone, here is another episode with some of my favorite teachers. This episode is more of an interview-type episode, but there is a large amount of insight about different perspectives, teaching responsibilities, and why teachers work the way that they do. Every student encounters a teacher, but do they actually know what they do on a day-to-day basis? This is what this episode is for. Hopefully this helps you students realize that your teachers are worth respecting, at least the good ones are :). Have a great week!

Hello everyone! Here is another episode related to my graduation project. As you can see in the title, we talk about how students interact, based on our own experiences. We talk about being bullied, character development, being a people pleaser, and so much more. I hope there is something that you can take away from this. Enjoy the episode!
P.S. The audio is quite messy because we were passing around the only mic we had; I'm sorry for the inconvenience. :')

Hi everyone, this is the first episode of a new segment called __ Talk! I will be covering more bases once I reach different people. This is all for my graduation project where I hope to improve the student-teacher relationship by showing some sort of understanding between the two very different groups. This is the first episode, and I record with one of my very close friends, Melvin Cedillos! I hope you guys like the first episode of this new chapter. As always, enjoy the episode

Hi everyone, this is another episode that goes along with my graduation project! This episode, I am joined with Miguel Peña, an underclassman and good friend of mine. We talk about a large range of things: anxiety, the generational gap, and how hard it is to be a student that maintains other things that may or may not be school related. With most of my audience being in the student range, I hope that this can be relatable to some extent. Also, I hope that this gives teachers some insight about what some students may be struggling with. Enjoy the episode!
*There may be a few explicit words slipped out, so that is why it is labeled as explicit.*

Hi everyone! This is part of my new segment where I make episodes dedicated to helping the student-teacher relationship by hopefully building more understanding with each other. This episode, I have my American History Teacher, Mr. Mitchell! Personally, I think he is a good role model and teacher to students, and he shares some personal details about teaching and how hard it is to be a teacher in different environments. We talk about how he became a teacher, what struggles he has, and why some teachers do the things they do. I hope you all enjoy!

Hi everyone, I apologize for the lack of uploads these past weeks. However, I'm here to bounce back with this episode!! This episode is a little more serious, but I want to be as real as I can. I talk about my personal journey with body image and how I want to improve it and continue to improve it. I hope you all can find comfort in this episode and some sort of relatability.
Hi everyone! I apologize for not publishing Saturday, it was busier than I thought and I couldn't get the episode ready in time. This episode is something that I'm sure we can all relate to: secrets. There is always something that you don't want others to know, but it could bring people together. In this episode I talk about how I used to overshare, and now I know who to trust or not to trust. I also explain that there is a fine line in asking someone if they need help versus prying for information.
Hi everyone!! This is the start of the second season of "smallBIG Talk," and needless to say, I'm stoked! I missed this sort of routine, but I'll have to get used to it again. This episode, I talked about what my priorities are and how I order them. It has definitely changed throughout the years, especially since new responsibilities have been picked up. One of the highlights are about if friends and a significant other. When is one more important than the other? Is it truly possible for both parties to have an equal impact? I share my opinions in the episode, so look forward to it. I'm excited for this new beginning, and I hope you are too!
Thanks for everything,
- Ara <3
This episode is pretty short compared to the past few episodes. My birthday was this past week and I got to have fun with friends that I have not seen in a long time. It made me think about how lonely I've been ever since the beginning of COVID. I talk about how it is okay to be alone and how exhilarating it can be with friends.
( I'm sorry for not publishing last week )

My personality has changed from when I was a young, shy, and naive girl. In this episode, I talk about what could have brought those changes and I talk about how frequently someone could change through my MBTI test results. Even in the span of a few months, I got different results. Take the test yourself for free and tell me your results @small.bigtalk on Instagram!
Hi everyone, this episode is something that I'm sure everyone can relate to. People in your life will leave abruptly or things will naturally lead to a mutual drifting. Either way, it can hurt and you could feel regret and sadness, or satisfaction and freedom. Although it can be hard to cut someone off, I give advice to the best of my abilities. Enjoy this episode (and I'm sorry about last week)!
My sophomore year of high school finally ended (although there are still summer classes). Being online the whole year was definitely a challenge, but it brought some beneficial outcomes, so I'm not complaining. I discuss how I've changed and how my school has changed over this taxing school year. Finally, summer break has come! Enjoy the episode!
This episode, I talk about my favorite ways to spend my time: watching anime, dramas, reading webtoons, and listening to music. I give my opinions on why I favor these things. I even give recommendations for specific feelings and preferences. This was a very lighthearted episode that not everyone will enjoy but I wanted to talk about this for a while.
This is another short episode since the last episode was super long. With exams in season and everyone studying for their finals, I feel like this is appropriate for this week's episode. I personally have done decent on most of my exams, but I know that not everyone can say the same so I give some simple study tips for anyone in need and I wish luck to everyone taking exams!
This episode, I again have invited Caden to give his male input on his experience with breakups. We talked about how to deal with them, why we did what we did, if there was a difference between a break and breakup, and the phrase "it's not you, it's me." We talked about way more, but you'll just have to watch the whole episode to find out ;). If you found any part of this episode entertaining, be sure to share and download the episode and follow the podcast on Spotify @smallBIG Talk. I hope you like the episode.

It has officially been two months since the birth of this podcast!!! I am proud of where this has gone and how happy I've been while doing the podcast. It has had its ups and downs but here we are. This episode consists of how support is handled in my family setting and how you guys could support your friends. I know the episode is short, I made it like that so listening to the full episode is more attainable. It is a break for both you and me. To all of the listeners, thank you for all the support (especially my friends) and I hope you like the episode.
This episode, I talk about how I almost did not do an episode this week. I have been facing the mid-semester burnout that many students go through. I have been keeping myself occupied with various hobbies and entertainment. In the second half, I talk about my fear of commitment and how my relationships ended because of that. This is a pretty honest episode (I try to be as honest as I can but this episode is REALLY honest) and I leaked some tea (oop). Thank you for supporting the podcast and have fun listening!
