Ocean Vuong: Language is the first mode of agency

Ocean Vuong came to Rockland for a reading and Q&A (hosted by hello hello books, in partnership with Rock City Cafe) that pretty much changed our lives forever. We thought you might want to be changed, too.

Notes from Lacy's intro: Ocean's books are available through hello hello books here. Banditry Press can be found here. Donations to OUT Maine can be made here. Ocean's conversation at the Seminary Co-op, which Lacy quoted from, can be found here.

Note on the audience questions: because we didn't have a mic for audience members, they aren't clearly audible on the recording, so we've done our damndest to fairly and succinctly summarize the content of those questions and comments before each of Ocean's answers. We hope we've done a reasonable job; apologies that you're not able to hear the original speakers themselves!
