In June 2024 I had a chat with Kate, an Australian SLP who owns a private practice in Mexico City, Mexico.
You may know that Mexico City is the capital of Mexico and it's the largest Spanish-speaking city in the world. But did you also know that, after independence from Spain, Mexico City became known as the Federal District (Distrito Federal or DF) from 1824 to 2016? Since 2016 the city has been officially known as Ciudad de México (CDMX).
Kate is an amazing guest for this podcast because she has worked as a speech-language pathologist in Mexico and the UK, and she is now running her Mexico City private practice remotely while living in Australia.
It’s time to grab your passport, pack your bags and get ready to come on an audio adventure to discover what life is like as an Australian SLP in Mexico 🇲🇽.

👍 Make sure you like, subscribe and follow on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and Instagram so you can hear episodes as soon as they land (yes, that's an airplane pun).
SLPs Overseas is an independently produced podcast. I record, edit and publish episodes while working full-time as an SLP (and travelling, of course!) If you enjoy listening to my podcast and want to buy me a coffee to show your support, I would greatly appreciate it:
