In this episode of Slightly Spiritual, we sit down with Michelle Penicook, RD, LD a registered dietitian specializing in fertility and functional medicine. Michelle’s journey into this work began with her own health challenges — from endometriosis and autoimmune disease to mold toxicity and chronic Lyme. Those experiences completely transformed how she views the body, healing, and the resilience we’re capable of when we have the right tools and support. Together, we explore the conversation around hormones and fertility- and how Michelle helps women uncover the “why” behind their fertility struggles. We discuss: The difference between conventional and functional fertility care — and why “normal” labs aren’t always the full picture and leave women struggling. Birth control and how it impacts fertility and hormones How emotional healing and mindset play as big a role as physical health in conception What “unexplained infertility” really means (and why it’s rarely unexplained at all) The rise in fertility challenges and what’s driving them — from stress and undernourishment to toxin exposure How chronic conditions like PCOS, endometriosis, and autoimmunity can impact hormone balance and fertility Male fertility, how to address male fertility with your partner and the changes they may need to make to get pregnant IVF- the good and the bad Age and fertility and your ability to get pregnant Connect with Michelle: Instagram: @hormoneharmonyrd Join her email list to stay updated on upcoming programs and resources: https://www.hormoneharmonyrd.com Free download for Slightly Spiritual listeners: The Fully Fertile Meal Plan- https://deft-author-8756.kit.com/a4d58a6292 Did this episode remind you of a friend?
