Sliding Doors

Have you ever had a Sliding Doors Moment - a decision or opportunity that could have gone either way that leads to two very different futures?

I’m Jennie Becker and I’m fascinated by ‘what if’ moments - what they look like, what we can learn from them - and how we can begin to embrace them.

Five years ago I had my very own Sliding Doors Moment when I decided to start this podcast. Since then I’ve been on an incredible journey helping guests join the dots on the small decisions or moments that made a big difference and built the path of their lives.

From Olympians to Presenters, Actors to Entrepreneurs (and even the cast of the 90s hit movie!), each episode I get to meet amazing people and ask them what could have been, if they’d chosen differently…

Joe Pasquale: Being run over when he was 13, led to his career in comedy

Joe Pasquale is one of Britain’s best-loved Comedians and Entertainers, and his comedy career and live stand-up tours have been entertaining audiences for over three decades! Joe burst onto the scene with his trademark high-pitched voice and quirky humour, quickly becoming a household name. From sell-out tours and hit television specials, to starring roles in West End productions — he’s a true performer. Joe is an 'I'm a Celebrity' champion, a published author, and even a qualified pilot and also studying for his Open University Degree in Geo Sciences! He has just finished a sellout tour of the 'Prat Pack' with best mates, Bradley Walsh, Brian Conley and Shane Richie.

In this episode we see a very different side to Joe, as we learn more about his beliefs in the meaning of life and thoughts and theories on the world. Joe doesn't believe in luck, but more when preparation meets opportunity and he opens up about his journey with fear and how he has overcome things in his life. His three Sliding Doors Moments include: Getting run over when he was 13 which was the catalyst to his career in comedy, doing 'I'm A Celebrity' and overcoming his fears which changed his life and the decision he made to take a trip to Venice that took some sad and spiritual twists and turns...but felt meant to be.
